Parduba

Parduba was founded in 1915 by John Parduba, when he made his first custom mouthpiece in New York City. Three years later, aside from his mouthpiece and repair work, he began fabricating state-of-the-art trumpets and cornets. In 1935, Parduba introduced a new, groundbreaking design of mouthpiece for brass instruments – called the Double-Cup – which gained world recognition when the legendary Harry James discovered it. Since then, it has been used by trumpet players in several top bands, including notable and iconic musicians in the industry, such as Ziggy Elman, Ray Anthony, and Louis Armstrong. Because of the Double-Cup's success, Parduba chose to work exclusively on producing mouthpieces. The one-of-a-kind patented design of the Double-Cup enables a musician to have more comfort and ease in playing in high register with optimal control, increased endurance, balanced breath control, and a fuller, clearer, and higher tone. The mouthpieces are available in a range of sizes, running from No. 1 to No.8 (the higher the number, the larger the size).
