Forestone Reeds
Although fairly young in the industry, Forestone, the company that Lars Heuseler founded in 2007, has been one of the industry-leading manufacturers of synthetic and cane reeds, with more than 30 years' worth of research and development. Together with Japanese master craftsman Kawai Kazunori and respected saxophone maker Atsushi Watanabe, they combined their expertise in their respective fields, with Heuseler's vision realized, further expanding Forestone's market and continuously developing and improving their brand and products.
Forestone reeds are made of a special kind of polypropylene resin, which contains all the significant properties that are then manufactured using the highly developed injection molding method, producing the first synthetic single reed in the world. The Forestone brand offers top-notch reeds for French and German clarinets, as well as alto, soprano, tenor, and baritone saxophones, endorsed by musicians worldwide, including Andy Findon and Michael Unger.
