Jo-Ral

Founded by Joe Alessi more than 30 years ago, Jo-Ral mutes' exceptional acoustical design is sought after by musicians for its tonal qualities, which result in excellent intonation. Its mites are made of spun aluminum, and also with brass and copper bottoms. The variation of sounds ranges from even performance in all registers (aluminum), warmer (brass), to darker and rich (copper), depending on the type of material the mute is made of. Jo-Ral products include mutes for trumpets, piccolos, flugelhorns, French horns, trombones, and bass trombones, as well as brass short cuts – an accessory used for trumpets and tenor trombones – and short visualizer mirrors. All of Jo-Ral products are carefully designed and thoroughly tested to best suit brass instruments, whether used in a symphonic band and orchestra or jazz and studio sessions.
