Surprisingly High Quality!
Sep 18, 2017While Yanagasawa saxes are renowned, I wasn't too sure of the quality of their metal mouthpieces. I use another well known name for playing "smooth" jazz on my Alto & Tenor, but that company's soprano equivalent left me disappointed. THIS one however surprised me! Even with the rather generic metal ligature (which will be replaced with something more appropriate), the tone on my soprano is NOW everything I had ever wanted! FINALLY a metal mouthpiece that would allow me to transition from bottom Bb up to top G almost effortlessly AND retain a wonderful, warm , smooth tone throughout! Proves you don't need to pay over $1000 for a quality, METAL, jazz, soprano mouthpiece after all!
