JP Sterling

Sterling Musical

Sterling Musical Instruments was originally founded in 1987 by Paul Riggett, who was armed with his in-depth knowledge of production techniques and manufacturing of brass instruments, leading to the brand being established as a sought-after name not just within the British brass band community, but among local and foreign brass musicians. Its collaboration with JP Musical Instruments paved way to the two's development and creation of JP Sterling Instruments, incorporating the Sterling brand of top-of-the-line quality in manufacturing lower brass section instruments.

The JP Sterling range encompasses all features that have a high level of specification, such as full construction from high-grade 80:20 brass, including a leadpipe – also designed by Sterling. In addition, all instruments are supplied with a Denis Wick mouthpiece and a hard, plastic German-made case.

Musicians from all over the world cite JP Sterling as their brand of choice. Some of them are Glyn Williams and Natsumi McDonald, both from Foden's Band; David Thornton of the Sterling Virtuoso Euphonium in Brighouse and Rastrick Band; and Patrik Randefalk of Eikanger-Bjørsvik Band.
