German-born Kurt Gemeinhardt founded The Gemeinhardt Company in 1948, initially to produce a limited number of professional all-silver flutes, until the demand was overwhelmingly high, he had to move to a larger plant to accommodate larger manufacturing needs and product line expansion. It acquired the Roy Seaman Piccolo in 1997 and at present, the brand is known as the largest exclusive manufacturer of flutes and piccolos in the music industry. Gemeinhardt carries a wide array of products for all levels of musicians – student, intermediate, and professional. These products include flutes (C, alto, and bass), piccolos, clarinets, saxophones, woodwind accessories, headjoints, and Roy Seaman piccolos and headjoints that are meticulously manufactured, assembled, and inspected in an organized process at different parts of the globe. Gemeinhardt products are used and endorsed by reputable musicians such as Greg Pattillo, Shawn Wallace, Nina Perlove, and Ernesto Fernandez.
